The Second Act, Life After A Door Closes...
This online course offers those who are experiencing a closure in our life and are asking, "What next?"
Life brings many wonderful moments as well as many challenging obstacles that impede our path of moving forward. Grief, loss, addiction, loss of a job, change in a relationship, etc, etc, etc... When one door closes, we know another door will open. However, in the interm life can be challenging, unbalanced, and difficiult to navigate through.
The Second Act Course will help you structure your days and weeks in a meaningful and purposeful way and assist in facing some of the challenges people face with the question, "What comes next?" The answers lie within you to this question and there are tools to draw out the answers. Let me share with you new ways to open yourself up to the many opportunities that life has in store for you. A new life moment is just around the corner, closer than you think...sometimes you just need to find some inner wisdom to see the future and know that every little thing, is going to be okay...can you hear Bob Marley in this moment? :)
I will be guiding participants in a structured weekly course that will move through 6 weeks of learning, beginning in May and moving June. Online classes will be held live and will also be recorded for those who cannot make the live sessions. This is a self-paced course that will be available to you during the entire 2023 calendar year.
The Tools for Transformation that I will be teaching are:
Stream of Consciousness Writing - Daily writing that has no structure or rules. This type of writing is deeply healing and nourishing and seeps into all aspects of our lives.
Gentle Mindful Movements - Daily movement allows the muscles of the body to gently rewaken and also transformation for years of sitting or being spending long hours on your feet during your work day. Each movement we will work on can also be done in a chair.
Walking Mindfulfully - This portion fo the course will provide you with prompts and thoughtful walking meditations that you can carry with you on your daily, 15 minute walks. There will be prompts for "Pause and Write Moments," as well as instruction on how to create your own Mindful Walking practice into your daily life. If you live somewhere that has challenging weather, there will be guidance on how to maintain this practice indoors.
Passion Dates - This portion of the course is my favorite part! Each week I will guide you on how to take your internal passions and go out and explore the world around you...ALONE! Passion Dates with yourself are one of the most healing aspects of this course and will open you up to many new opportunites, experiences, and creativity.
6 Word Memoir Practice - The practice of recalling past memories can be filled with all types of emotions. This 6 Word Memoir practice allows you to revisit aspect of your life in a simple but meaningful way and brings powerful insights into your life that can reignite the many deep, complex, and creative parts of your life and your story. The purpose of this practice is to bring clarity and purpose and can often times be a "jumping-off" place for the rest of your life!
