Peaceful world yoga studio and outdoor garden experiences
Melissa Spencer, founder of Peaceful World Yoga and Soul Rhythms, is a seasoned guide in the healing arts, offering both soulful movement and sound-based experiences for wellness and connection. As a devoted yoga instructor, Melissa leads weekly classes in her serene indoor studio and, when weather allows, beneath the open sky in her lush outdoor garden spaces.
Rooted in the wisdom of the Eight Limbed Path, her teaching style reflects a deep reverence for the whole self, mind, body, and spirit. Students are gently guided through slow, mindful Hatha Yoga infused with intentional breathwork (pranayama), fluid movement (asana), and the meditative journey inward (dhyana). Each class becomes a sacred invitation to return home to oneself.
Through her yoga practice and her sound offerings, including djembe drumming, crystal singing bowls, and the Native American flute, Melissa creates peaceful, heart-centered spaces where healing and transformation naturally unfold.

Testimonials:
"Melissa's restorative sound journeys have helped me to relax and let go of my thoughts and worries. Her gentle guidance has helped me so much in letting go of things in my life that are no longer serving a purpose. I highly recommend all of her classes but especially her SACRED sound journeys." -Barbara
"I have enjoyed attending the community drum circles that Melissa brings to the retirement community where I live. She is always surprising us with new drums and shakers, bells, and last time she even brought some plastic tubes called boomy wackers. I love waking up and knowing Melissa will be teaching a drum circle." -Janet
“Melissa’s Restorative Yoga class is like pressing pause on the world. The moment I settle into the poses, my body begins to soften and my mind finally lets go of the noise I didn’t even realize I was carrying. I leave each class feeling lighter, calmer, and more connected to myself. It’s not just yoga, it’s a sanctuary, and I’m so grateful for the peace it brings into my week.”
— Sarah M.
"Every time I come to Restorative Yoga I feel like I’m being held in a cocoon of calm. It’s where my whole system resets." — Emily R.
"Restorative Yoga reminds me how powerful rest can be. I leave class feeling renewed in body and spirit." — James T.
"This practice has taught me that slowing down is not only healing, it’s essential. Restorative Yoga gives me the balance I didn’t know I needed." — Laura S.
"In Melissa’s class, I finally allow myself to exhale fully. Restorative Yoga gives me the permission to just be." — David H.
