New Beginnings Sound Journey
January invites a gentle return
A turning of the page
A soft landing into a new year

This Sound Journey is an opportunity to release what the previous year carried and to create space for clarity, intention, and renewal. Through the soothing resonance of crystal singing bowls, grounding rhythms, gentle chimes, and the breath of sound, you are guided into stillness where new beginnings naturally arise.
Rather than rushing forward with resolutions, this journey encourages listening. Listening to the body. Listening to the heart. Listening to what wants to unfold slowly and with care.
Come rest, reset, and realign with the energy of possibility that lives quietly within the beginning of a new year.

Monthly Restorative Yoga Class
Thursday January 29, 2026 from 6:30 to 7:45 in the evening
Props provided but feel free to bring a favorite cozy blanket (jammies welcome)
New Beginnings Restorative Yoga practice
January offers a pause before momentum
A quiet threshold
An invitation to arrive without urgency

This restorative yoga practice is a space to soften the body and settle the nervous system as you step into a new year. Supported by props, blankets, and stillness, each posture invites deep rest and gentle unwinding, allowing the body to release what it has been holding and to receive what it needs most.
Rather than striving or setting intentions too quickly, this practice honors listening. Listening to the breath as it slows. Listening to sensations as they ease. Listening to the quiet wisdom that emerges when the body feels safe enough to rest.
Restorative yoga in January is about replenishment. About creating spaciousness before movement. About allowing clarity to rise naturally from rest, rather than effort
Come exactly as you are
Lay down what feels heavy
And allow the new year to meet you gently, one breath at a time

Testimonials:

"Melissa's restorative sound journeys have helped me to relax and let go of my thoughts and worries.  Her gentle guidance has helped me so much in letting go of things in my life that are no longer serving a purpose.  I highly recommend all of her classes but especially her SACRED sound journeys."  -Barbara

"I have enjoyed attending the community drum circles that Melissa brings to the retirement community where I live. She is always surprising us with new drums and shakers, bells, and last time she even brought some plastic tubes called boomy wackers. I love waking up and knowing Melissa will be teaching a drum circle."  -Janet

“Melissa’s Restorative Yoga class is like pressing pause on the world. The moment I settle into the poses, my body begins to soften and my mind finally lets go of the noise I didn’t even realize I was carrying. I leave each class feeling lighter, calmer, and more connected to myself. It’s not just yoga, it’s a sanctuary, and I’m so grateful for the peace it brings into my week.”
— Sarah M.

"Every time I come to Restorative Yoga I feel like I’m being held in a cocoon of calm. It’s where my whole system resets." — Emily R.
"Restorative Yoga reminds me how powerful rest can be. I leave class feeling renewed in body and spirit." — James T.

"This practice has taught me that slowing down is not only healing, it’s essential. Restorative Yoga gives me the balance I didn’t know I needed." — Laura S.

"In Melissa’s class, I finally allow myself to exhale fully. Restorative Yoga gives me the permission to just be." — David H.
