Peaceful World Yoga brings educators, parents, students, families and community members together to bring awareness to the practice of mindfulness and mindful-based yoga. Both mindfulness and yoga practices have been proven to calm anxiety and reduce stress in people of all ages, When these practices are taught in schools, children learn to self-regulate their own behavior, stay more focused during their day, learn to control compulsive behaviors, and increase mental and physical awareness to name a few benefits.
Our Weekend Peaceful Warrior Trainings and Summer Intensive Teacher trainings, support teachers to learn how to create a powerful mind-body-heart, self-care and wellness practice that includes yoga, somatic movement, mindfulness, and breathing practices that are easily implemented into classroom settings.
We work closely with teachers to guide them into self-care practices that incorporate mindfulness practices, social-emotional learning strategies, community-building techniques, yoga and somatic phyiscal movement and quiet and relaxing meditation practics. Building a practice that incorporates a varriety of calming strategies, positively impact personal lives, classroom climates and communities, youth of all ages, and the overall health and well-being of schools.
Graduates receive an official Yoga Alliance Registered Yoga Teacher (RYT-200) certification. You will also be certified as a Peaceful World Yoga Warriors for Peace in Schools. This certification qualifies our graduates to facilitate mindful-based yoga, mindfulness education, teacher-self care, overall wellness and social-emotional learning in your school community.
