What is Restorative Yoga?
Restorative Yoga is designed for people who need to fill themselves back up. Life today can be full of stressful situations and a Restorative Yoga practice helps you find the calm in the storms of life. Find your inner strength by revitalizing yourself and allowing yourslf to relax at the cellular level, decompressing the joints, and deeply relaxing the muscles and tissues of the body.
Learn how to create some inner strength (in the most gentle way) and peace of mind by joining us in this restful yoga practice. Bring a sense of balance and well-being back into your life.
Each class begins with a centering activity to bring the mind, body and soul into union, followed by a gentle warm up for the neck and spine. Once the body is gently warmed up, we transition into longer supine (on the floor) poses, supported by blankets, bolsters, blocks, and sandbags. We will end each class with a long, final resting postures where you can unfold into your own inner peace. All poses are done laying on the floor and there is NO stress or tension in the body. Sitting up to head home will be the most difficult part of the class!
Restorative Yoga is currently being held on Wednesday evenings from 7:30-8:45 pm at Peaceful World Yoga's home-based studio. Please arrive 15 minutes before class to set up your space.
This is a donation-based class. All proceeds go directly towards school programming scholarships for underserved, highly impacted schools in Denver, Brighton and Westminster Public Schools. Contact us now if you teach in one of these districts and would like to receive programming for your classroom or school.
Space in these sessions is limited and based on a first-come, first-serve reservation system. Restorative Yoga sessions can also be delivered as part of a tailored private one-on-one program. Contact us now to check on availability and to reserve your space or to schedule a private session consultation.
