OVERVIEW
Developing the Whole Child is the foundational module to Peaceful World Yoga Registered Children's Yoga Teacher Training.  In this Youth Yoga Teacher Training, PWY lays the foundation for your practice as a children's yoga educator.  This 3 day course is a comprehensive training that will introduce you to the core set of mindfulness-based Yoga fundamentals as they apply specifically to children and their development.  You will gain valuable experience from instructors who are practicing teachers and yoga business owners.   During this module, students will be provided instruction and resources on specific developmental stages of children from prenatal to early adulthood.  You will be guided and provided experiential practices using the key strategies that PWY has developed over the course of years working with youth and young adults.
Yoga educators leaving our training will learn about the brain-body-nervous system connection and development and will be provided with tools and practices that will guide children of all ages.  Teacher trainees will learn how to create safe and trusting spaces, no matter where you are teaching and learn how to practice and teach children the ethics of yoga.  During this training, teachers will also be guided in mindfulness and meditation practices for all types of learners and experience how to guide children through relaxation and guided imagery practices.  This module is required as the foundation module where instructors will provide behavior management strategies that differentiate for diverse populations.  Guiding teachers will help you plan and co-create lesson plans with you that are engaging and fun for all stages and ages of youth.

We hope you decide to join our Peaceful World Yoga Tribe.  Youth Yoga is expanding in many directions and we often hire graduates from our training to work in schools, local recreation centers, YMCA programs, juvenile halls, libraries, hospitals and a variety of other locations.  We hire our trainees because we know you've been trained by some of the best children's yoga educators in Colorado, where we know the needs of the children we work with and we teach them how to live kindly and compassionately in the world, one breath at a time.
