Melissa Spencer - Founder/Owner of PWY Owner/Founder and Eight Limbs of Yoga Educator Melissa's lifelong passion has been teaching and guiding others to discover their true Self through Self-Transformation and looking through the lens of Yoga and Mindfulness to help heal the mind and body. Melissa's passions led her to become an elementary school teacher and after working for many years in the public school system she retired and decided to make a life-changing shift to become a certified Yoga educator. Melissa found a Yoga Home through the Himalayan Institute.when she discovered Yoga was more than poses. Amanda Oberbroeckling Amanda will be teaching hands-on Anatomy and Asana sequencing and cueing Even before birth, Amanda was introduced to yoga as her mother, Melissa, Peaceful World Yoga founder, practiced asana throughout her entire pregnancy. As a child, Amanda was drawn to dance as a form of expression and exercise, and she trained as a dancer until she was eighteen. It was during this time that Amanda developed her interest in anatomy and physiology, and she began to learn how to tune into her own body, using this information to strengthen her dancing and avoid injury. Amanda’s yoga practice began to grow deeper, moving beyond physical practice, as she pursued her college degree. Learning to manage and overcome the stresses of a very challenging engineering program allowed her to realize the power of a well-rounded Yoga practice, and she has been integrating Yoga into her everyday life ever since!
Amanda has been involved with Peaceful World Yoga from the beginning, helping in any way she could to promote and support her mother’s vision of building an inclusive Yoga community.
Stephanie Cochrum Stephanie will be teaching the Chakra System and Chakra Healing Modalities Stephanie is a mother to two children, Trevor and Kayla and enjoys spending time with them out in nature and just being a mom to these two little humans. Stephanie loves connections she can make when she is out in nature and feels more grounded when she’s outside and enjoying the simpleness of placing her bare feet onto the grassy earth and taking a moment to reflect with gratitude on her life and all that she has been given. Stephanie loves camping every summer and extends her trips into the fall and has a desire to explore some winter camping in the coming season. She enjoys camping with her children and also loves going alone so that she can reflect on her life, reground with no electronics present, and reconnect to this OMazing world that she feels so blessed to live on. Stephanie has recently received her 200 Hour Yoga Teacher Training through Peaceful World Yoga. During her magical journal, as she likes to say, the Chakras are what spoke to her the most. As she explores the chakras more each day, she’s learning the powerful benefits of implementing chakra knowledge and practices into her daily life. Stephanie is currently enrolled in the 300 Hour Self-Transformation Program and is stepping into her learning and practice deeper.
Stephanie is honored to be the Chakra instructor for Peaceful World Yoga and is humbled to begin educating others along their journey through Yoga. Stephanie is excited to meet each and every single one of YOU in her workshops and training.
